DJ Mixing

The DJ Mixing course is designed to take you from the basics of mixing & scratching, all the way up to advanced mixing techniques and live club  performance  scenarios.  Regardless of skill level, this course will give you new skills that you can immediately apply to your DJ sets.

Skills covered will include:

  • - DJ fundamentals, DJ history, and music and mixing theory.
  • - Equipment setup
  • - Basic beatmatching and scratching techiques
  • - Cross genre mixing
  • - Advanced mixing techniques
  • - Digital DJ platforms
  • - Set and mixtape design

Advanced students will have chances to appear as an opener at some of Portland’s hottest nightclubs. Upon completion of the course the student will receive a 15 minute mix tape demo of their own design under guidance of the instructor.
